My Thoughts: I liked the article a lot. To see an established NYTimes writer hand over his platform to a recent grad was surprising, to say the least. With that said - she does an excellent job.American poverty is unique in that it resides in the wealthiest nation in the world. However, when you contrast the median vs. the mean average - you will see that American wealth is concentrated in the hands of a small cohort, and in nations like Switzerland you will see the wealth more evenly distributed.
